The Extravaganza Catch of the Day Prize Giveaway is an additional contest within the Extravaganza that gives contestants a chance to win big! We have compiled an ice fishing prize package valued at nearly $9,000 – sure to make any fisherman jump for joy.
For $10, any fisherman has the opportunity to win the following:

How to Enter:
- Purchase a 2024 Extravaganza contest ticket.
- Purchase a $10 Catch of the Day sticker at icefishing.org or at any of our ticket outlet locations.
- The sticker must be affixed to your contest ticket at the time of purchase.
- Catch the largest “mystery species” fish at the contest.
- Show your ticket with the attached sticker to the contest officials.
- The “mystery species” will be announced prior to the event. Watch for updates on our Facebook page and on our website.
- An entrant is not a winner of any prize in this Contest, unless and until the Judges have verified the entry and the entrant’s eligibility.
Official Rules for the Catch of the Day Giveaway:
The Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway will take place during the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza.
Contestants wishing to enter the Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway must purchase the $10 Catch of the Day Extravaganza Give Away sticker prior to 12:00 p.m. on the day of the contest.
Contestants must purchase a contest ticket to be eligible to win and the sticker must be affixed to the contest ticket at the time of purchase.
No later than 24 hours prior to the contest, the Brainerd Jaycees will announce the “mystery fish” at www.icefishing.org and on their Facebook page. The mystery fish will be a specific species of fish that will determine the winner of the Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway.
The winner of the Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway will be the contestant that catches the largest of the “mystery fish” within the contest area.
All contestants must be in the weigh-in line at or before 3:05 p.m. on the day of the contest. All fish must be alive at the time of weigh-in.
The winner of the Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway will win the prize package as shown on http://www.icefishing.org/leaderboard/.
Contestants are eligible to win the Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway prize package in addition to the contest prize.
The Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway sticker is non-transferable. Any attempt to transfer stickers to another contest ticket once it is attached will result in immediate disqualification to win any contest prizes awarded for the Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway and the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza Contest.
Contestants must obey the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza rules.
Contestants must obey all Minnesota State fishing laws and regulations.
Failure to comply with any Catch of the Day Extravaganza Giveaway rules subjects contestants to disqualification and removal from the contest area as determined by contest officials. Contest officials reserve the right to refuse sale and/or revoke a contest ticket to anyone.
A contestant is not a winner of any prize until contest officials have verified the entry and eligibility.
